1928 Futurism: ‘Flying City’ Architectural Project

“The Flying City” was the name of the 1928 diploma project of Georgii Krutikov, a student at the VkhUTEMAS architecture school in the Soviet Union.

In his project, Krutikov envisioned atomic-powered aircraft which carried urban residents from industrial work stations to beehive living colonies floating in space.
